For minor scratches, using a walnut or pecan can work wonders. Simply rub the nut towards the scratch, and the pure oils will assist fill it in. Apply a small amount to the affected area, clean it out, and let it dry. Once dry, sand the area gently till it is stage with the surrounding wooden. Finish off by applying a matching stain or sealant to blend within the repaired spot seamlessly.
